Disorders of the digestive system

Disorders of the digestive system may be caused by the wrong diet, bacterial infections, and abnormalities of the digestive tract. Among these disorders are diarrhea, constipation, peptic ulcers, peritonitis, colic, to the infection of the appendix (appendicitis).

Diarrhea

If kim from the stomach flows into the intestines too quickly then it became more frequent bowel movements with stools that contain a lot of water. Such a situation is called diarrhea. Causes of diarrhea include anxiety (stress), certain foods, or destructive organism that injures the intestinal wall. Diarrhea for a long time causes loss of water and mineral salts, resulting in dehydration.

Constipation

Constipation occurs when bowel kim get into very slow. As a result, too much water absorbed by the intestine, the stool becomes hard and dry. Constipation is caused by not eating enough food in the form of plant fiber and consume lots of meat.

Gastric ulcer 

Gastric wall covered with mucus, which also contained the enzyme. If the defense is broken mucus, digestive enzymes will eat small portions of the surface layer of the stomach. The result of this activity is the occurrence of peptic ulcers. Ulcer perforation of the stomach wall that causes stomach contents fall in the abdominal cavity. Most of the ulcer is caused by certain types of bacterial infections.


Several other disorders of the digestive system are as follows: peritonitis; an inflammation of the lining of the abdomen (peritoneum). Another annoyance is the indigestion caused by eating food that stimulates the stomach, such as alcohol and chilli resulting pain called colic. While the production of HCl can cause excessive friction on the walls of the stomach and small intestine, causing pain called gastric ulcers. Friction is more pronounced when the stomach is empty due to irregular eating that will ultimately lead to bleeding in the stomach. Other disorders of the stomach is gastritis or inflammation of the stomach. It can also be infected, causing inflammation of the appendix is called appendicitis.
